A must for any budget audiophileJan 22, 2010 Quite simply put-If you have never experienced the full sound and nuances offered by vinyl, You are missing out. I bought this preamp thinking it would make a small difference in sound. I was wrong, I had bought a Denon Dl 160 Moving Coil cartridge and thought it being a great cartridge would completely change the sound of my phono setup. This however made more of a difference. It made my system sound 5x better. The treble is clean and the bells in Dark Side of the Moon MFSL sound like heaven. For the price range you wont find better than this. It sounds so much better than the phono section of my home theater receiver. Definitely recommended.
