Best of table radiosJan 09, 2007 I was like Goldie Locks and tried the Sony ICF-M1000 (not enough bass), the Boston Acoustic Recepter (too much bass) and the Music Hall RDR-1 was just right.

Same as the Sangean WR-2Oct 22, 2006 The Music Hall, it should be noted, is just a rebadged Sangean WR-2, for 60 dollars more. I have the WR-2 and while its FM pig tail antenna gives me a little trouble with KPCC 89.3, it is overall an attractive, high-performance radio. Other FM stations come in fine. AM is great. The speaker is crisp and full. The RDS data display shows song title and artist. My biggest complaint is that the alarm system is so anti-intuitive that after consulting the manual several times I finally gave up and use a small easy-to-use alarm, which I place above my WR-2.
Update: A reader was kind enough to inform me that THERE IS A DIFFERENCE between the two radios: The more expensive Music Hall boasts a bigger speaker. I stand corrected.

Is the RDR-1 the same radio as the Sangean WR-2?Oct 08, 2006 Is this just the same radio as the Sangean WR-2 rebadged as a Music Hall RDR-1? How exactly is it different?
