The best sound quality on the market under $5,000Oct 09, 2009
The Masters M15 is one of the best-sounding, multi-channel preamplifiers available. It might not be able to decode HD-Master Audio over HDMI 1.x but you can buy sources which achieve that task via the M15's 7.1ch analog pre-inputs +amps. Personally, I run a DVDO EDGE High-Definition Video Processor which will upconvert anything to 1080p/60hz/24p/120hz/1:1 frame lock/etc..., Also, as of the latest firmware release the EDGE has high-bit-depth, "deep" color controls.
BOTTOM LINE: Until *sounding amazing* has a major shift in meaning, this SSP will continue to be in demand.
Note: I got mine Refurbished almost a year ago, on Amazon, from Spearit Sound (only NAD authorized refurbished dealer in US) and I love it's sound.
